What is Meditation and How Does it Work?
Meditation is an ancient and universal (non-dogmatic) technology, technique and system, designed to expand the range and clarity of our consciousness, intelligence, mind and self. Meditation works with the instrument of experience - our mind. The mind is like the surface of a lake. If it is agitated nothing of the reality around it will be reflected clearly - we will not be able to perceive or enjoy ourselves or our world fully. If the mind is still a clear picture will be reflected - we will get maximum appreciation of ourselves and our environment.
Meditation works by detaching the intelligence (for a moment) from all limited objects, possession and thoughts and redirecting the mind-intelligence towards something unlimited (as you belief). Self and Consciousness is plastic, when it is withdrawn from limited objects, self-centric possession and thoughts and focused on something unlimited, it expands self-perception and eventually becomes unlimited. This brings feelings of freedom, bliss and expand our capacity for self-acceptance, courage, trust, understanding and meaning.
